Well, 'Chris' or 'RickE' or whatever I should call you...I can promise you I'm not accusing you Trump supporters of being bigots against Muslims. I don't have to. It's obvious ;^)
fauxnews - June 19, 2016, 2:33 pm
So,I will stay on "my horse","mate." It is higher than your 'soap box',thanks ;^) In fact,it's SO clear that "me being right" is horribly upsetting you since you can't stop stuttering, saying "mate" again and again as you shake with anger.Breathe,bro.#pwn
fauxnews - June 19, 2016, 2:28 pm
...Ironically, YOU are the one saying, RickE(lol), that instead of using investigators as the source, we should use a crazed killer AND ISIS as the source. Yeah, they ain't biased. Wow,so you trust them more than the F.B.I. and police investigation.ROFL
fauxnews - June 19, 2016, 2:27 pm
...you made a silly emotional argument *yawn* You will not find ONE legit source out there that says, "investigations show ISIS planned this attack." That's what investigations are for, which turned up nada. And ISIS would not be able to hide such a plan...
fauxnews - June 19, 2016, 2:25 pm
(#80461)Correlation doesn't equal causation. If ISIS took credit for 9/11,we believe them? Nope. Not how forensics work. They are manipulative terrorist group, like most sociopathic entities. They exploited it.You base these claims on evidence, not emotion
fauxnews - June 19, 2016, 2:23 pm
On comment (#80459) According to you,U.K.would be 10X MORE violent than the U.S. IF we had your "bigger" gun culture poisoning us like you. After I just said the U.S. has a gun problem and we dont, and you disagreed. And you said,"use my brain"? HA! Next :)
fauxnews - June 19, 2016, 2:19 pm
"The gun ban in England appears to work..." Yup, and you lost your argument right there. Thank you for conceding that :-D Big of you. Everything you said after that, given that concession, is just "blah, blah, blah..." Next!
fauxnews - June 19, 2016, 2:18 pm
"We have less violent crime overall." LIE...Especially not with guns, next? :)
RickE - June 19, 2016, 8:34 am
So if ISIS taking credit for the attack and the guy pledging the attack to ISIS doesn't convince you, then nothing would. You just don't want to admit that I was right about it mate. Get off your high horse and take your head out of your a** mate.
RickE - June 19, 2016, 8:31 am
With less of a gun culture, there are less guns around to begin with. In the US there will be a bigger supply if guns even with an all out ban. The murder of the parliament person would be 10 times as worse.Use your brain mate....
RickE - June 19, 2016, 8:24 am
We have less violent crime overall. While we have more gun related deaths than England, we do have less violent crimes such as h** burglaries. The gun ban in England appears to work so well cause they never had a real gun culture unlike the US.....
fauxnews - June 18, 2016, 11:49 pm
...doesnt mean we should give up and allow free access to deadly weapons. One dead person in England VS.50+ killed in the US,in massacres that now happen regularly in your country.Thx you gun UK control!I've accepted the facts, troll.Your turn now :)
fauxnews - June 18, 2016, 11:44 pm
...And as far as England goes. So what? Don't make the perfect the enemy of the good. So if we can't prevent ALL murders by guns, we shouldn't try to minimize them? lol Nuts. Just accept facts 'matey' X-D You are ignorant. One death in England by a gun...
fauxnews - June 18, 2016, 11:42 pm
...ISIS 'praised' the event AFTER THE FACT, also trolling the event. There is no evidence (at the moment) of pre-planning by ISIS before then. Your conspiracy theories keep getting worse...
fauxnews - June 18, 2016, 11:41 pm
Nope. He was a nutjob. So what if he declared allegiance to ISIS? He could've declared allegiance to the Easter bunny. That proves nothing other than him being a manipulative sociopath who was willing to troll the event....
RickE - June 18, 2016, 7:03 pm
He pledged his allegiance to ISIS while he was shooting. ISIS even takes credit for it. And in England, a member of parliament was killed with a gun, however guns are banned in England..... So how would that be possible? Just accept the facts mate.
fauxnews - June 18, 2016, 3:52 pm
We don't know if ISIS was involved. Your 'emotional reasoning' and cognitive dissonance gets in the way of you being able to accept the facts. Sure, maybe we should ban the pistol too. Most countries already have and don't have this problem, 'mate' :)
RickE - June 18, 2016, 3:01 pm
Sauer*
RickE - June 18, 2016, 10:54 am
And you have a brain, please use yours mate. He also had a pistol. He still would have killed people with or without his Sig Sour. A person who pledges allegiance to ISIS will find a way to kill people. He could even try to make a bomb if he had no gun.
fauxnews - June 18, 2016, 12:28 am
Ah, the idiotic 'knives' comparison comes out. The Orlando shooter would not have gotten that far if had attacked those people with a sword. You have a conscience. Use it.
RickE - June 17, 2016, 11:33 pm
You can say that about knives as well. Banning guns might stop deaths by guns, but not innocent deaths overall.
fauxnews - June 17, 2016, 10:34 pm
Don't care. The details are red-herring. FACT: It's a deadly weapon that needs to be banned. FACT: banning it will save many more innocent lives than it will cost.
RickE - June 17, 2016, 4:12 pm
An a**ault rifle has an automatic selector on it. The AR-15 doesn't have that. Also, it wasn't an AR-15, it was a Sig Sauer MCX. At least you got the rate of fire correct.
fauxnews - June 16, 2016, 7:27 pm
...the question answers itself. Stop playing games with words and the truth.
fauxnews - June 16, 2016, 7:27 pm
Bill O'Reilly figured it. The N.R.A. this week is pivoting, changing its tune on this. They figured it out. Use your brain and do the same.
fauxnews - June 16, 2016, 7:26 pm
Will it stop them? No. Will it cut down the amount of killings BY nutjobs? Yes. Absolutely, as a matter of fact. Don't make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Thedewd - June 16, 2016, 7:23 pm
explain why it is dangerous?
Greeny - June 16, 2016, 7:03 pm
Do you honestly think banning this type of weapon will stop the nut jobs? 'Tis impossible to ban all things capable of killing in numbers.
fauxnews - June 16, 2016, 1:51 pm
In 1996 they did stop many of the high tech rifles – they banned them. And that lapsed. We should look at that ... Those were Bill O'Reilly's words. Yes, even he and now the NRA are slowly changing their stances in the last few days. Finally :) (3/3)
fauxnews - June 16, 2016, 1:50 pm
We all have the right to bear arms, but we don’t have the right to buy and maintain mortars — even if you feel threatened by gangsters or a New World Order. No bazookas, no Sherman tanks, no hand grenades.(2/3)
fauxnews - June 16, 2016, 1:49 pm
I will explain simply to those with no education. It's a dangerous weapon that needs to be banned, period. There is too much gun crime in the USA, and high powered weaponry is too easy to get. That’s the fact. So let’s deal with it. (1/3)
fauxnews - June 16, 2016, 1:47 pm
Yup, his name is Obama and he was born X-D. Trump nutters and their love of conspiracies.
Thedewd - June 16, 2016, 4:37 am
Well, you got 2 out of four right...
Thedewd - June 16, 2016, 4:36 am
I will explain simply to those with no firearms experience. With any Semi Auto, pull the trigger once, one round is fired. Whether a .22 or a .50 caliber, with each pull, one round. So yes, a 22 can do significant damage. And Mateen used a Sig Sauer MCX
fauxnews - June 15, 2016, 10:51 pm
Yeah, Obama is a Kenyan born mole planted by ISIS and the illuminati. He's also Darth Vader's second cousin. Did I mention he's the anti-Christ?
Bandit5906 - June 15, 2016, 10:39 pm
The Orlando killer did not have an AR-15 rifle. The FBI screwed up and Obama is protecting ISIS!
fauxnews - June 15, 2016, 10:11 pm
A man would not have been able to kill as many people at that G'ay club with a .22 hunting rifle as they'did'with the other(significantly more dangerous)weapon they used.To argue otherwise is to be too ignorant or delusional to take your opinion seriously
fauxnews - June 15, 2016, 8:25 pm
That is a slippery slope fallacy that deliberately ignores reality. The law must draw the line somewhere. Firecrackers? Yes. Hand grenades? no. .22 hunting rifles? Yes. AR-15s? No. Call it whatever you want. It's a deadly weapon that needs to be outlawed
Thedewd - June 15, 2016, 6:50 pm
The point of the story was the misinformation that a SEMI-auto weapon can fire that many rpm. it is simply not possible. Also, it fires a .223 which is slightly bigger than a 22. And ALL firearms are dangerous in the wrong hands. Criminal don't obey laws
fauxnews - June 15, 2016, 4:43 am
You're missing the forrest for the trees, Gump. It's a dangerous weapon that can kill a lot of people quickly. End of story. You going to tell me it's only slightly more deadly than a .22 hunting rifle? Uh, huh. Ban it! F*ck the 2nd Amendment.
Thedewd - June 15, 2016, 3:37 am
The AR-15 is a SEMI-automatic. pull trigger, ONE round is fired. No one has the speed to pull the trigger 30 times, release the magazine, and reload fast enough to fire 180 rounds per minute. No one!

A slipper slope goes A could lead to B and so on to apply the judgment of something down the line to A. However I took a promise of your argument and applied it to an extreme which is a Reductio Ad Absurdum. It is a valid way to argue not a fallacy.
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 9:55 pm

It's classism, pure and simple. Republicans who just as easily attack Obama over where he was born (which is a coded form of racism) have this nice nifty coded form of classism.
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 2:42 pm
Rubbish. There is a market for it, and no one has a right to judge another based upon how they make a living. You could easily make a similar argument against those who work for Budweiser or cigarette companies but this stigma against service level jobs..
Cyberhagen - February 14, 2015, 1:03 pm
Min wage has not kept up with inflation; it's just that $15 an hour is a bit much and a huge jump. But no one should aspire to work fast food for life, and expect to live off of that kind of no skill menial labor. (I used to do it when I was 16)
Cyberhagen - February 14, 2015, 1:00 pm
Interesting spin. So *not* giving a raise is *taking away* money? Also, those people should be working better jobs then, or not having kids. That said, beats them going on welfare, and they are trying, so I think a compromise is fair.

fauxnews - May 17, 2015, 5:01 pm
Since when has any scientist, let alone ANY 'intelligent person', pretended it was NOT a theory? Science ONLY deals with "theory."That's how it works. Even an 'idiot' knows that...then again, now that I thought about it (and this conversation) maybe not :-/

Add to that that McDondanlds use a franchise system, so the it would likely would come out of the local owner's pocket rather that corporate's pocketbook.
Cyberhagen - February 14, 2015, 1:05 pm
Agreed on that point. CEOs of the last 20 years are out of control and their ridiculously high compensations in that time are destroying the system.

I'm saying and adding basic reason to the mix, it has been proved that people do get replaced my machines as costs increase and you have chosen ridicule as a response.
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 11:01 pm
Okay,"Calron"...enough absurdity for one night.I know you are itching to keep citing from that website on fallacies you came across, however "fallaciously" you are using it. A new toy can be fun,eh? But don't worry,in the spirit of the machine takeover...
calron - February 14, 2015, 11:00 pm
And as outsourcing is possible an the lower wage, it becomes more viable at higher wages. And of course attack me personally does nothing to prove you're right or me wrong. The evidence of what I have said is all there and ridicule will not change that.
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 10:59 pm
No, I'm just saying that your articles you cited are NOT saying what you want them to say. Here's another citation "Calron"(lol) you might like, right up your alley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Wlsd9mljiU

Here...another citation for you proving that the machines will indeed take over. Right up your alley, "Calron"(lol) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Wlsd9mljiU
calron - February 14, 2015, 10:56 pm
You mean people being replaced by machines in response to increased costs doesn't mean increased costs lead to people being replaced by machines? It doesn't matter if both the ups and downs are covered, the downs I said are still there.
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 10:51 pm
*yawn* Another article that doesnt back your claim. The article is about BOTH sides of the debate, and it doesnt claim one side is right or wrong. You are passing off articles as proof without concern for what they say. Why? Because it looks cool? lol
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 10:45 pm
In fact the article even says the cost effectiveness is debatable and does NOT show any proof that this tech is directly connected to the minimum wage debate.'Strawman'indeed. Now i can see why you use this word so much "Calron"(lol)You're projecting X-D
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 10:41 pm
Okay, read your NY times article. Before i address the fact your article was from 2006 and last i checked Skynet hasnt taken over McDs, we are having a big laugh here. This is your big proof? bwahahaha
calron - February 14, 2015, 10:38 pm
No as what you selected is not the opposite of what I said. And the last sentence it is speculation as it actually happens. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/05/business/15-wage-in-fast-food-stirs-debate-on-effects.html?pagewanted=all
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 10:35 pm
I was going to address the NY article next, "Calron"(lol) Im hanging with some old friends for a drink. Patience kiddo
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 10:33 pm
Again bull. Your article said the opposite of what you contended, sans the final sentence which was an fanciful specultion."In the future, we all may be keying our orders into an iPad or some other technology." Thats your evidence? Im not too worried LMFAO
calron - February 14, 2015, 10:29 pm
No it is basic economics, not just speculation. The rest of what you post has nothing to do with it and you ignored the second article to boot.
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 10:23 pm
Because the only thing that came close to backing your claim in that article was the final sentence, which was speculation from a conservative. Thanx for playing though =)
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 10:20 pm
finally"This is a multibillion-dollar industry," says Jack Temple, an economist "McDonald's' profits were $5.6 billion last year. There's plenty of revenue to afford a living wage." Is this how they argue on Bizarro Superman world? X-D

Those programs and subsidies cost taxpayers about $7 billion a year, so the study led some economists to ask: cont."Why should middle-class taxpayers subsidize corporate profits?" Agreed

fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 3:56 pm
This myth that McDonalds would start charging $20 for a Big Mac if they paid their people better is laughable considering their CEO and their board give themselves huge raises every year and prices go up steadily anyhow with inflation.
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 3:54 pm
Ignoring the dollar menu at McDonalds - and you should if you actually care about your health - a decent burger at McDonalds is only about a dollar pricier than compared to Shake Shack http://www.fastfoodmenuprices.com I even called the Vegas store.Yup
fauxnews - February 14, 2015, 3:52 pm
Of course you paid that much. You ate at Grand Central Terminal, for Zeus sake.Ive eaten there many times:Everything is expensive there. Even the McDonald's down the street is pricey (has a value menu instead of a dollar menu & charges almost 3x as much).
PeteofSanJose - February 13, 2015, 3:05 am
Only one location on the West Coast, that;s in Las Vegas NV. Everything else is on the more expensive east coast
PeteofSanJose - February 13, 2015, 3:04 am
I have eaten at Shake Shack at Grand Central Terminal. It was "ok", nothing to write home about. Much better than McDonals though. HOWEVER, a reg burger was about $8.00.For wife and I, lunch was $22.00 Guess they can afford to pay more
